Badminton Court Officials

This web site is for the use of all Badminton New Zealand Technical Officials - Referees, Umpires and Line Judges. Information relevant to technical officials in general and to the Technical Officials Committee (TOCNZ) will be included here as and when it becomes available.

The site is managed voluntarily by Mike Wright on behalf of the TOCNZ and Badminton New Zealand. If you have anything that you would like to contribute to this site, or if you have any suggestions about additional content that could be useful to our badminton court official community, please don't hesitate to contact us.

15 November 2008 - Many thanks to all those who volunteered for the very successful KLRC NZ Open. The contribution of all volunteers is greatly appreciated and we hope to see you all in 20009!

15 November 2008 - Greg Pitcher passed his Level 1 umpiring assessment and was presented with his umpiring badge at the KLRC NZ Open at the North Shore Events Centre.

31 October 2008 - Mike Wright passed his BWF Accredited Umpire assessment at the World Junior Championships held in Pune, India.

15 September 2008 - Sumi Krishnan, Bikash Mukherjee and Rodney Manhoe Koo all passed their Level 1 umpiring assessment at the North Shore City International. Congratulations to you all - we hope to see you involved in future tournaments!

Upcoming Events...

Our season is now complete! The next tournament will be in 2009. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!

We will, in due course, post information for the 2009 tournaments on this site, and we will also email the technical officials. In the meantime, if you need to know anything, contact Lynne Nixey, Mike Wright or Julie Carrell.
