The New Zealand Court Officials Committee (NZCOC) meets three times a year, and conducts the rest of their business using the Internet (email and this web site). There are a large number of roles that the
committee is responsible for. Some of these are listed below...
- Liaising with the various Associations with regards to all things
relating to court officials.
- Arranging for the examination of umpires, both theory and practical,
for achievement of their various grades.
- Liaising with the Court Officials Committees and groups in neighbouring
countries, Oceania and the IBF.
- Selecting and/or recommending and/or approving the appointment
of referees and umpires to various tournaments throughout New
Zealand.
